I entered my vehicle type but this deadbolt lock is about a 1/4inch to short and will not connect enough to lock.

We have seen this issue before with Toyota Tacomas and to help owners such as you with your 2009 Toyota Tacoma we created an extra long trailer hitch receiver lock # e98881. It is 1/2 inch longer than the hitch receiver lock # e98880 you referenced and fits 2 inch and 2-1/2 inch Class III-V hitches. I have included a link to a video review of this product.
This lock has an inside width of 3-5/8 inches, an overall length of 6-7/8 inches, and a 5/8 inch diameter pin.

So I now have the wrong one -Flush Design for 2 Trailer Hitches part 7683. How do I trade it in for the Extra Long - Flush Design for 2-12 Trailer Hitches part RH5-XL?
