Deka 4 Post Isolator Installation

Question:

I have hooked up a deka isolator 4 post I mounted isolator,removed positive from alternator and placed on The A post of islator, connected post 1 to starting battery and post 2 to aux battery. Nothing to E post on isolator. When turn on key all gauges come up lights work 12v plug in works. When i turn the key it clicks only and does not try to start? So i put a jump pack on it and no change it just clicks? This is a side by side artic cat 700 prowler Does the E post HAVE to be connected in the ignition?

The Deka Battery Isolator - 95 Amp # DW08770 does require the ignition switch be connected to the E post. This is how you ensure the batteries are isolated and the auxiliary battery does not draw power from the starting battery. You will want to use a 6 amp circuit breaker on the wire connected to the ignition switch run position as shown in the attached diagram. If you want to temporarily bypass the ignition switch you just need 12v on the E post.
