After speaking to my contact at Curt, I have found the Curt Gooseneck Flat Plate # C65500 is a compatible fit for your 2002 Ford F-550 Super Duty without a bed. It comes with a 2-5/16 inch ball rated at 30,000 lbs and D rings.
With the amount of weight you are towing, I recommend to install the plate only using the Curt Universal Gooseneck Ball Rail Kit, # C61502 rails.Just bolting the plate to the truck without adding rails will not allow it to meet the 30,000 lb rating. Also, I recommend having the plate professionally installed.
This rail kit will install to the frame rails and give the extra reinforcement that is needed to maintain the 30,000 lbs. rating.
The kit will come with all of the Grade 5 mounting hardware to mount the rails to the frame. You will still need to get six 1/2 inch Grade 5 bolts to attach the flat plate to the rails. See picture to the right to see how it bolts together. I have also included instructions for proper installation of this product.
