Recommended Tire Size Compatible with Timbren HD 3500-lbs Axle-less Suspension System

Question:

I'll start off by saying that wheels and tires do not come with hubs, and what hubs you'll be able to use depend on the spindles on the axles, and whether or not you'll want brakes on the trailer or not. If you're going to be using the Timbren # TASR35HDS07, you'll need hubs that have # 25580 inner bearing and # 15123 outer bearings, like the # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K for a hub and drum assembly or # AKIHUB-655-6-EZ-K for idler hubs. If you're going with the hub and drum so you can add brakes, I recommend using the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA since they're self adjusting brakes. You would also need brake mounting hardware, which is available with part # BRKH12. This setup is designed for use with wheels that are 14-1/2" to 16-1/2" in diameter, so the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 6 on 5-1/2 - Load Range E # LHAW124 you were looking at would be a great choice, and they'll offer plenty of capacity for a 2000-lbs trailer. Thank you for the additional information, and that will change things a bit. The # ASR3500S05 you're wanting to use, requires hubs with # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearings, so you'd instead want to use the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 # 84545UC1-EZ. This is an idler hub assembly that you would want to use if you're not planning on using brakes. The size wheel you'd typically want to use depends on how much ground clearance you need and the size of the hubs. The above mentioned idler hubs for the ASR3500S05 can accept wheels with as small as a 13" diameter, like the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D # AM31994. If you wanted to give the trailer a bit more ground clearance, a good 15" wheel and tire combo that will fit on 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern hubs is the # AM32238B.
