Which Wheels Fit On Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly, # 8-213-5UC1
Updated 04/29/2010 | Published 04/28/2010 >
Question:
Which wheels will fit this hub. Ive seen many types of wheels which claim to be 6X5.5 but before I purchase 4 new hubs, I want to insure that I will not have to buy specialized wheels. Are there any wheels that will fit and if so, which models. Im also concerned about stud size & center hole diameter.

When fitting wheels to a Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly, # 8-213-5UC1, you would need to measure the wheels you are trying to use. You would measure the bolt pattern, the center hole diameter, and the stud size.
To measure the bolt circle on a 6 lug application you would measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. So on the Dexter hub you referenced that measurement would have to be 5.5 inches. I have included a link to our FAQ article on measuring for bolt pattern for you.
The stud size on the Dexter hub is 1/2 inch. So you would have to check the wheels you are trying to use and make sure they used a 1/2 inch lug nut.
The center bore diameter would have to be measured, the steel wheels that we sell to fit that hub have a 4.27 center bore.
I attached a page that shows all of the different wheels we carry that are 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
