7-Way Trailer Wiring Connector for 2011 Nissan Pathfinder Towing Boat Trailer

Question:
Hello, I have a 4 pin connector on my 2011 nissan pathfinder that i need to connect to a 7 pin boat trailer connector on a 2019 malibu boat trailer. I have heard about a problem where if you reverse it can engage the brakes. How do I avoid this and what is the proper connector/modification. Thanks!

To install a 7-way on your 2011 Nissan Pathfinder you'd want the part # 118266 which comes with everything needed to install a fully functional 7-way on your vehicle. This has the reverse light circuit active too which is what activates the reverse lockout and allows your surge brake trailer to reverse without the brakes locking up.
