Question:

the replacement knob shows a key. it said a core lock is needed. does the core lock come with its own key, or can the key that come with the knob work on the lock.? tks

The Replacement Locking Knob for Yakima SpareTime/SpareRide 2 Bike Rack # 8890239 comes with a control key to remove or install a lock core, but this does not have a lock core integrated. It will function without a lock but for the locking feature you will need to add a lock core from the knob you are removing or add a new one using # Y07202.
