What is Width Between Attachment Points on Roadmaster Tow Bars

Question:
Looking to create a tow bar for a VW Splitscreen Type2 1959. Going to fabricate some brackets that connect to the chassis, same mounting point as the front bumper brackets. Is the width of mounting options with this tow bar system adjustable and what is the stick width?

For Roadmaster tow bars like the # RM-501 the distance between the mounts is going to be 28-1/2 inches.
