Question:
Does the receiver on the 5th wheel hitch need to adjusted? I was towing recently and felt some motion. Didn’t seem like the hitch was clamped snug on the kingpin as it has in the past.

There isn't any adjustability in the hitch head of the Reese # RP30081 Select Plus 5th wheel hitch. I spoke with my Reese representative, who said it might be a broken spring. When you open the hitch jaw, is there tension on the handle, if not the spring has broken and needs to be replaced with part # RP58230.
