I looked at the owners manual, it says the AWD diesel can be flat towed not a gas model. And a fwdcan be flat towed after you pull fuse no. 32

From my research all of the versions of the 2017 Chevy Equinox can be flat towed but if you found something else in your owner's manual then you should go by that.

For pullinlg fuse # 32 like you mentioned we recommend using the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles - 50-Amp FMX Fuse # RM-76517 for your 2017 Chevy Equinox AWD. I've attached a video of this installation to assist. This gives you the ability to simply flip a switch instead of pulling a fuse each time you tow.
