The Demco Trailer Stake Pocket Spare Tire Carrier w/ 4" Offset - Silver # DM15884-52 gives you the 4 inch measurement, so you just need to look at the width of your wheel. Most trailer wheels have a zero offset so the width of the tire itself will determine the clearance distance between the pocket and the wheel.
For instance, the Loadstar ST205/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 5 - Load Range C # AM32253DX has a width of 7.7 inches so that would leave only 3/16 inch clearance with this tire carrier. Smaller tires will give you more clearance.
