Question:

I have a 2012 Audi Q5. I am going to order a hidden hitch 2inch hitch and was wondering which rack would be best. I haul a trek ladies mtn bike , mans mtn bike and a trek madone road bike. Looking at the Yakima bighorn and the swagman 4 bike carriers

With the variety of bikes that you have, you might be interested in a platform style bike rack. The most popular one is the XTC-4, # S64665, from Swagman. Since this rack holds the bikes at the wheels and frame it will hold most bike styles without the use of an adapter. I have included instructions and video links for you to view.

For a hanging style rack from Yakima, the RidgeBack 4, # Y02458 that you referenced, is the most popular Yakima 4 bike rack and would be a good, more economical choice. But if any of the bikes do not have a top frame tube that goes straight across you will need to use an adapter bar, # Y02531, to carry those bikes. I have linked a video on the adapter.
