How can you secure a roof bag to the cargo basket to deter theft?

Best option would be to wrap an adjustable cable lock around the bag and basket with an adjustable cable lock like the part # 8419DPF which would make it more difficult to steal the contents of the bag. Keep in mind that the material of the bag could be cut relatively easily and there's no way to prevent that. A locking roof cargo box like the Thule Force XT part # TH6357B would be the way to go for the best theft protection.
