Question:

2004 Fleetwood Terra, steps locked open. When you close the door you can hear a clicking sound which sounds like it comes from the controller Part number 902606001 Serial number 166782

If your Kwikee steps aren't retracting but are making a clicking noise, the motor is most likely going bad and will need to be replaced. I recommend using the Motor Upgrade Kit for Kwikee 26 Series Electric RV Steps
# LC379801 to replace all of the parts on this step (motor, linkage, control unit, switch kit, and hardware) since this step is at least 20 years old; this kit will give basically replace everything except the step frame and give you a set of steps that is as good as new.

If you want to replace just the motor, you can use # LC379608. You can also replace the linkage with part # LC379162
