Air Springs Compatible with Frame Mounted Hitch Brackets on 2018 Ford F-150 with 5.5 Foot Bed

Question:

Is it possible to mount a set of air bags along with the frame mount brackets for a fifth wheel hitch on a 2018 F-150 with a 5 1/2 foot box, I have already purchased the Firestone air ride system but with the current mounts for the rails it is not suitable Thanks.

There are some kits that are compatible with in-bed hitches and others that are not. My recommendation is to use the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57268 which is confirmed to be compatible with the mounting brackets of your 5th wheel rails.

Firestone currently does not have a kit compatible with the in-bed hitch like a gooseneck or 5th wheel but this Air Lift option will work well on your 2018 F-150 with 5.5 foot bed.
