Can I use the 4way and still charge my toad battery so that the toad braking unit doesn’t drain the toad battery?

If you are only using a 4 way from your motorhome it won't have the 12V power line to charge your battery in your toad. If you use a 7-way then it has that already integrated if it is connected properly. I recommend using a 7-way on your motorhome which if you only have a 4-way means using a kit like # ETBC7L and # 12-1-1 for any extra length needed. Then I recommend using the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 and Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 to keep that battery maintained.
