Can I mount Jaylow kayak carrier to Yakima HD cross bars using t slot? If so which parts will I need?

Expert Reply:
The Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # Y04073 doesn't have a T-Slot adapter but they do fit crossbars with max dimensions of 3-1/2" x 1-11/16". Since the Yakima HD Crossbars like the 68" # Y01158 only measure 3" wide x 1-1/2" tall you will be able to use the clamping system that comes with the JayLow to mount them to this size crossbar.
If you're wanting a way to secure them a little bit more to help deter theft then I recommend adding the 2-pack lock core set # Y07202. If you're planning on installing this on a Yakima roof rack system with the HD bars then a 6-pack lock core set # Y07206 will mean that you only need 1 key for all of the lock with that system.
