Question:
I’m looking at buying a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab with standard bed, with the OEM puck trailering system on it. What can I get that will allow me to use my Reese 16K Pro Series sliding hitch in it to pull my 5th wheel.

We have just what you need. The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # DM6333 is designed to attach to your puck system then allow you to add your fifth wheel directly to it. This can be left attached to the fifth wheel when you remove it if you choose or be taken in and out separately to cut down on the weight.
I've linked a video on it foe you to check out.

When I was able to get the locking mounts into the GM puck system the locking arms on one side closed very easily to the locking position. The two locking arms on the other side took a little force to close into the locking position, but I was able to get them closed and the locking pin inserted. After tightening the bolts on all of the locking arms, we tried pulling up on the rails and they would not move, so we assume the adapter is properly installed. I was just a little concerned that the one side took more force to close the arms than the other side. Also I noticed that the universal rails do not fit flush to the floor of the truck bed, but I am also assuming that is the way it is supposed to be (it kind of looks that way in the picture in the assembly instructions. Do you think that I am good to go? My 5th wheel hitch fit right into the rails, and we did try pulling up on it and it appears good and tight.
