Reese Slider Barely Fits Into Slots On Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC DM6333

Question:
Installed puck plate and when I put my Reese slider in, I have to really work it to get it to into the slots and it doesn’t all the way in. As I look at it, I can see the feet are not sitting flat because the plate slots are just a MM or 2, too far apart.

It could be possible that the tabs on the Reese Slider are just a bit too wide for the slots on the rails. The Demco adapter part # DM6333 is an industry standard rail adapter so it is compatible with the Reese Slider as long as the Reese slider fits industry standard rails. I have attached a diagram for your reference, if the holes in your rails measure the correct distance then the Reese Slider tabs may need to be slightly filed down and repainted.
