Question:
My new Q 25 does not always lock when hooking to the trailer. The unit seems to open and close right when using a hammer handle but when hooking to my trailer the jaws do not align, the driver side jaw is higher than the passenger side and does not close to allow for towing. Am I missing an alignment or having an equipment issue?

The Curt Q25 # C16049 or the sliding hitch # C16566 with the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 25,000 lbs # DM6099. The driver's side of the hitch is supposed to be level with the passenger side. The driver's side has a higher lip on it but the centers should line up. If they don't line up it is likely an alignment issue since you don't have that issue when you us the hammer to manually latch the jaws.
