Can Air Bags Be Used On a 2012 Ford F-250 with Lift
Updated 05/15/2020 | Published 05/13/2020 >
Question:
I need an airbag kit for my 2012 F250. I have a 2.5 leveling kit with 3 straight blocks on the rear. The rear blocks do not have the piece that comes out for the bump stop for air bags to sit on. I guess what I need is an air bag kit that mounts to my leaf springs. Which one would I need? My WD works perfect when my camper is hooked up. I just squat 2 1/2 -3 when I distribute the weight

I do have some options to help provide support while towing or hauling for a 2012 Ford F-250 with aftermarket lift but all but one of the air bags kit require the jounce stop on the lift block which most aftermarket lift manufactures don't use. Therefore, you are left with the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs part # AL59556 which have a lower capacity and require drilling into the side of the frame.
I instead recommend the TorkLift StableLoad Rear Suspension Upgrade with Quick-Disconnects part # TLA7310 as they will provide great support just as a set of airbags but are much easier to install and won't be a problem with an aftermarket lift.
