Question:
Hi, I had purchased a new hitch back in January. I am having difficulty installing it. It is product # FA94-00-0800. I also purchased a hitch ball at the same time. The problem is that I cannot get the socket to fit to be able to tighten the ball. I have a powerbuilt 1-7/8” cr-v socket which I believe is the one recommended on your website. Is it not that socket that I need or is there something I am missing?

In order to install a hitch ball like the 2" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems part # EQ91-00-6080 on a weight distribution system like the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System part # FA94-00-0800 you will need a 1-7/8" thin walled socket. For this, we have the Thin Walled Socket for Equal-i-zer Hitches part # EQ70-00-4800 or the 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket part # ALL643216. Not all 1-7/8" sockets are thin walled, in fact very few are which is why you'll need one of the above.
I have attached an install video as well.
