Question:

Hi there, what is the best bike rack for fat tire e-bikes that weigh over 65 pounds? We just purchased the T2 Pro Thule but now I am conflicted after watching your video review for the Hollywood rack. Plus I like that the Hollywood rack doesn’t have any plastic parts like the Thule does as we are probably going to just keep it on our SUV. We have Super 73 S1 bikes.

The T2 pro you bought # TH83JV has a 60 lb per bike weight capacity so right off the bat it's not going to work for you since you have bikes that weigh over 65 lbs.

For fat tire e-bikes the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE part # HLY74FR that you referenced is a really solid choice and one I would recommend for you. It has an 80 lb per bike capacity, can fit tires up to 5 inches in width and overall is just really well-made. It's all metal like you mentioned and what we've found is that these are much more high quality than you get at this price point and they are also really solid in the hitch they are installed in which means minimal movement.
