How To Lower Bike Rack 6 Inches and Maintain Stability

Hooking up a 1 UP Superduty 2 rack bike rack to 2 in receiver on 2019 Subaru Ascent. Would like to lower the rack by about 6 inches. Would like something with no play. The rack has a cam that screws into the receiver so that it is very solid. Would like something similar if possible for the lowering adaptor so there is no wobble with 100 pounds of bikes.

In order to raise/lower the connection point of a bike rack you can use a high-low adapter. The Blue Ox Towbar Drop or Rise Receiver part # BX88130 is a good option for a 6" rise/drop since it has a 600 lb tongue weight rating. That said, adding an adapter is going to increase play/wobble there is no way around this. However, you can minimize this with a stability device, the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II part # BX88224 is what I recommend.
