Hello, I am looking for an adapter to connect my existing RM Tow Defender to your Blue OX BX1136 baseplate. If available please send me the info on it. Thanks

The only way to use a Roadmaster Tow Defender with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1136 on your 2018 Jeep Cherokee is to use the entire Tow Defender # RM-4750 which is designed to fit Blue Ox brackets, Demco brackets, and Roadmaster tow bars for the direct connect base plates.

I'm guessing you have the Tow Defender # RM-4700 that is meant for Roadmaster base plate kits from the way you asked your question. In this case you'll need to replace the entire unit with the one mentioned above. I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster who said the 2 different options use completely different fabric and have different brackets as well so unfortunately there aren't any adapters available.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
