Updated 04/15/2020 | Published 04/13/2020 >
Question:
I dont want use the rain sensor. Can I just cut it off and will a fan still work with a remote control? The reason is Im going to run the dryer vent up to the fantastic fan and I do not want it to shut off when the dryer is running.

The Fan-Tastic Vent 7350 Series Upgrade Kit - High/Low Style Base part # FV807359 rain sensor can be disconnected from the circuit board without affecting the functionality of the fan or remote. I have attached a photo of the rain sensor. There is a chance the rain sensor will not be activated when the dryer is on depending on the amount of humidity.
Another option is to keep the rain sensor connected and disable it when the dryer is running by holding down the up/down button on the remote for 3 seconds. The "rain sensor off" light on the remote will be illuminated.
Please keep in mind this upgrade kit works with Fan-Tastic Vent 730 Series roof vents.
