For your 2020 Ram 2500 short bed without the OEM rail kit I highly recommend the B and W Companion slider hitch part # BWRVK3400 with the rail kit part # BWGNRK1320. The Companion hitches are widely considered the best hitches around for a number of reasons. They are made in the USA, they are very well made which allows them to be easy to use, reliable, and long lasting, and they very quiet compared to other hitches due to the very tight jaw design.
What's also really great is that the rail kit is an underbed setup so you have a clean truck bed when not in use that also doubles as a gooseneck hitch.
For a 7-way to install in the bed of your truck to make connecting your trailer lights easier you would want the part # 41157. Most 7-ways will be at the rear of the truck near the bumper which doesn't work will with fifth wheel hitches. This kit installs in line with the 7-way at the rear of your truck and gives you a second one to install in the bed.
