Will Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Contact Exhaust on 2012 Mazda 3 Sedan

I have a 2012 Mazda3 sedan. On several different reviews I have heard this hitch has some problems with it hitting the exhaust when going over bumps. Is this a common problem that you know about?
