Updated 07/01/2020 | Published 04/04/2020

Question:

I have a 2003 Cherokee bought used. I cant get the switch to stay in the on position. In your opinion, could it be just the switch? Sorry for a dumb question, but i am a newbie at this. I hate to replace the whole take if its just a switch.

I reached out to my contact at Dometic and he agreed that your switch needs to be replaced. You can use one of the following:

Dual Switch
White - # AT91230

Single Switch
White - # AT91859
Black - # AT91959

Attached is a photo showing the wiring configurations for both options.

What is the wiring configuration when the old water heater has three wires and the new one has four.

I'm not entirely sure. What model water heater are you replacing?
