It worked just perfect and it went a motor home. The other switch was not keeping the heater going. 600712

Unfortunately the switch did not come with any instruction sheet. Also I was not aware the lamp was 12 volt, yes, stamped on the side but too small for me to read easily. I wired it 110 Volt, you know what happened popped the lamp. My assumption was wrong thinking voltage, lesson learned! 520631

Great service, and follow up. Very helpful staff, I don't run into often. These folks really care. As far as the switch is concerned it is just like the one installed years back. Still didn't work which tells me it's something else, but we all expect challenges. Gerald Dowling 317903

  • RV Water Heater Will Not Light
  • It's difficult to say for sure what might be preventing your water heater from lighting, as there are several possibilities. The most common cause is a bad thermocouple. We do have a few replacements available such as the 18 inch # CAM09273. This is a universal-fit item. I have attached our available selection that you can also check out. If nothing is happening when you flip the switch then you may just need to replace the switch itself. We have a replacement with part # AT91959. If...

  • Atwood G6A-7E Water Heater Won't Light
  • It sounds like this has been an issue that started intermittently and has progressed to a full on malfunction. There are a couple of things that could be going on here; this could be as simple as the thermocoupler going bad, bad thermostat or the switch going out. Before going to replace the control panel # AT91367 , I'd recommend replacing the thermocoupler with one of the Universal Fit Camco units like # CAM09273 (18" long). You could also install a new switch with part # AT91959...

  • Pilot Light Not Staying Lit with Camco LP Gas Control
  • There are a number of possible reasons why the pilot light is not staying lit on your LP Gas Control # CAM08641. The most common cause though for this is a bad thermocouple. We do offer several lengths of replacement thermocouples from Camco, including the 12-inch # CAM09253, 18-inch # CAM09273 and the 36-inch # CAM09333. These are universal-fit items that are designed to fit RV gas water heaters and furnaces. Otherwise, if your RV has a master switch like # AT91959, then it might...

  • The Replacement Single-Panel On/Off Switch # AT91959 is designed for certain Atwood gas and electric water heaters (like # AT96136) but can technically be wired to a similar water heater from a different manufacturer. Although I have no way to provide you with the color by color schematic for your Suburban water heater, the best I can do is provide you with a wiring diagram indicating the pin functions of the # AT91959 as well as the dual switch # AT91230. Note that the wire colors...

  • Replacement for Atwood Water Heater Switch
  • We do not have any way to know where an individual switch is located on a trailer; the best we can do is offer a replacement switch. For a single-panel switch you would need the Replacement Single-Panel On/Off Switch for Atwood Gas and Electric Water Heaters # AT91959 (Black) or # AT91859 (White). If you needed a double-panel switch there is the Replacement Double-Panel On/Off Switch for Atwood Gas and Electric Combination Water Heaters # AT91230.

  • Troubleshooting No Power to Replacement RV Water Heater Switch AT91959
  • The wall-mount Atwood Replacement 12V Single-Panel On/Off Switch # AT91959 operates either the gas burner or the electric heating element in your RV's Atwood water heater. If the switch does not light up this typically means it is connected incorrectly or the fuse/circuit breaker for the water heater circuit has blown/is tripped. You can use a circuit tester like # 40376, a multi-meter like # BTMT15 or even a small light like # RVILL33 to test the RV wiring to confirm power is reaching...

  • Pin Functions on the Back of Single-Panel On/Off Switch for Dometic Gas and Electric Water Heaters
  • Yes I can explain the functions of the pins on the back of switch # AT91959. With the light part on top turn the switch over to see the pins. The far left, top pin is the ground. The far right top pin is power from the water heater which is usually a blue wire. The bottom center pin is goes to either the orange wire from the water heater if it runs on gas or white if it is electric. The right, bottom pin is 12 volt power. I included a picture showing this.

  • Atwood Water Heater Not Lighting but Gas Comes On
  • There are a few possible reasons as to why your water heater isn't lighting, but one of the most common culprits is a bad thermocouple. This is part of the pilot burner and what connects to the gas control valve on the heater. We do have a nice selection of replacements available, such as the 18" # CAM09273. • Can Atwood Water Heater in 2015 Starcraft Comet H1232 A-frame Be Converted to Switch Control
  • My technical contact at Atwood/Dometic said that most often smaller pop-ups like your 2015 Starcraft Comet H1232 A-frame come standard with a manual-pilot-only water heater. For these there is no retro-fit to electrical operation via an inside switch; you would need to replace the entire heater. The number 93756 actually refers to the specific document for your heater, but it is not actually the heater part number. The linked page displays the gas and gas/electric combo water heaters...
