Question:

I need a trailer lock that will fit a 2 5/16inch dexter dx12.5. I purchased a lock from you a master model 377 and the coupler lip is too wide to allow the lock to slip in place.

The Master Lock Trailer Coupler Lock # 377DAT you purchased can accommodate a max coupler width (including lip) of 4 inches , so for a lock that works with up to a 4-3/4 inch coupler width, I recommend the Blaylock EZ Lock Trailer Coupler Lock # BLTL-33-40D.

I pulled our Titan Model 10 actuator # T2477600 (Dexter DX12.5), and found that it measures just over 4-5/8 (4.63) inches edge to edge of the coupler lip, so the BLTL-33-40D will definitely be wide enough and work perfectly with your 2-5/16 inch Dexter actuator.

The etrailer Trailer Coupler Lock # e98894 you were looking at works with up to a 4-1/2 inch wide coupler width, so it will not work for you.
