Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2011 Lexus RX 350

I tried this trunk carrier as well as another Thule In a bike shop and the hooks on both were too small to fit onto my Lexus RX 350 2011 spoiler. Specs say they will fit. Any suggestions? Does the 9054 fold down for access to trunk?

Generally speaking, if a vehicle has a spoiler it is considered a no fit for Thule trunk mount bike racks. I checked with Yakima and they also state that none of their trunk mount racks will fit. There must be some model of the RX 350 that does not have a spoiler or has a different type of spoiler which is why they list it as a fit.
On the Thule Doubletrack, # TH92BJ, the center arm does fold down but you will have to remove the bikes.
If you want complete access to the back of the vehicle I recommend a swinging bike rack that swings off to the side of the vehicle like # TH9027XT. You can also keep the bikes on the rack and still swing it out. I have included a link to a video showing how the rack works for you.
If you will be carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, for greater ground clearance and to carry the bike more level. I have linked a video of the adapter as well.
