Question:
What happens if you lose bluetooth connectivity while towing? Does it function on the settings previously set? Thanks in advance.

Yes, if for some reason you lost connection between the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180 and your smart phone the last settings would be retained like you mentioned. Only thing you'd lose is ability to use the manual override lever.
