Question:
Wow!, thank you for all the detail! I will need to take an additional measurement or two to determine how high the riser is in the step well. Before placing an order, I just want to confirm with you that the Lippert LC698799 3 step model is only 24" wide overall and will accommodate a height of 30". I ask because the SolidStep website is stating a door width of 26" is required for the 3 step model, they have a different part number. Also, on the SolidStep, the picture seems to make it look like the latch mechanism extends out beyond the 91/4" overall depth. If yes, the door may not close if it protrudes into the door due to the bottom of the assembly would be up against the riser of the step well. I actually have a set of GloSteps however, they are the portable and kind of hang on side of the coach in a bracket just below the threshold. They are nicely made but they have a bit of a wobble and need to be set up and taken down with each use. I need to have a permanent alternative thus, my hunt for the SolidStep or the TLA9104. Can you please let me know the price of each, including shipping , along with the cost of a railing for each if available. Thank you!

Thank you for all the information; that allowed me to do quite a bit of research.
To answer your questions in regard to the Lippert SolidStep, there isn't a 4-step version of # LC698799, which is a triple step that fits 24 inch wide door frames. Additionally, there isn't an option to add an extra step, nor are they sold separately. Therefore, according to my contact at Lippert, if you were to take on such a project, you'd need to provide your own parts and come up with a plan to execute it yourself. This would of course, void any kind of warranty on the product. The limited 8 inch step well depth though, shouldn't really be an issue since the bottom mounting bracket that attaches to the RV floor actually raises the steps up. That along with the angled design (as shown in the attached photo) should clear your RV step well just fine.
The closest solution I can offer you is with the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Uprising Steps # TLA9104. Like the SolidStep, these store just inside the door on your RV, away from the elements. However, the hinged or scissored designed, does gives you the ability to slightly adjust the rise/drop between each step. When deployed all the way, there is a 7-1/2 inch rise between each step, similar to what you would see in a staircase in your home. The # TLA9104 will fit perfectly in your 24 inch door frame width and the built in booster step turns this triple step in to a quad step - that along with the adjustable landing gear, they will provide up to 34-7/8 inches of height. Basically, you can use that extra height to position the steps just about an inch closer together to make it easier for your wife to climb up and down them. The mounting brackets will bring these steps just about 8-1/2 inches above floor level, so these too should clear the vertical portion of the step inside your RV.
A few other features you and your wife will definitely appreciate are the self-illuminating glow in the dark steps, built-in SureGrip tread for extra traction and large footplates that provide extra support and prevent them from sinking into the ground. One last thing you might want to consider is adding a Handrail # TLA7621, to give your wife that much more safety and stability going up and down the GlowSteps.
