Measuring Bolt Pattern For Trailer Wheels
Published 02/21/2020 >
Question:
I have an aluminum trailer from Tractor Supply, 15x5 steel wheel, My best hopefully measurement is 4.75 from center of bolt to bolt. I like the aluminum Lynx Trailer Wheel. I do not see on your web site this wheel with 4.75 bolt to bolt measurement. I took measurement with wheel on trailer, so I could be off 1/4 inch. What do you recommend? Should I dismount my wheel to get a better measurement? Also, I do not see many wheels with a 4.75 bolt to bolt measurement on your site. Thanks for the help.

The most accurate way to measure the bolt pattern is to remove the wheel and measure on the hub or wheel itself. I attached an article that will tell you how to measure the pattern.
If your wheels have a even bolt pattern (4, 6 or 8 holes) simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of its opposite to determine the diameter of the lug pattern. If your wheels have an odd bolt pattern (5 holes) it's not a straight forward since none of the bolt holes are directly across from each other. There are a few different measuring techniques that are lined out in the included article so you can make sure you get the correct size.
I recommend remeasuring the lug pattern so you can be sure what wheel will fit. If it is 5 on 4 1/2 the Aluminum Lynx Trailer Wheel # SULY-150-500-5BMF is a nice looking wheel and would work great.
