Question:
Im looking for a more secure way of attaching lights to the Pro Series Cargo Carrier 63155 than the LED kit 98174LED. There is no size information on the opening for the lights on the cargo tray or the size of the kit lights. Could you tell me if the size of this item STL78RB is close or identical to the light size of the LED kit lights, or if they look like they would fit on the cargo carrier with some slight drilling/modification?

I went out to the warehouse and measured the opening for lights in the cargo carrier, # 63155. The opening itself is 6-3/4 inches long by 2-1/2 inches tall. The bracket part of the carrier that the light sits in is 7-7/8 inches long by 3-1/2 inches tall.
You would be able to drill some holes and mount light # STL78RB to the bracket part of the carrier. It mounts on holes that are 7 inches apart lengthwise and 2-3/4 inches apart top to bottom. You would really only need the 2 side mounting points.
The light kits designed for the cargo carrier, # 98174LED and # 20174, once installed are actually very secure. It is a very snug fit when installed correctly and would take quite a bit of force to remove them.
