Question:
I have a tilt-bed equipment trailer possibly manufactured by “TowMaster” guessing. The axle spindle starts at 2.5 inches and shoulders to 2.25”. I cannot find any axle capacity markings anywhere. The inside drum diameter is 12” and the shoe diameter is 2 inches. Need an assembly for the left side but may need the right side as well. Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if additional information is needed. Thanks

It is not required to know the axle capacity when selecting the correct replacement barking assemblies for a trailer axle though it does help. If you want to try and determine this you can look for a sticker on the center of the beam or measure the diameter of the beam assuming it is indeed a round axle tube. The smaller 3,500 lb axles usually have a 2-3/8" diameter whereas the larger 5,200 lb and 7,000 lb axles usually have a 3" diameter.
That said, if you know the size of your braking assemblies (measure inside of hub/drum) and your brake mounting flange bolt pattern then you don't really need to know the axle capacity. The dimension you listed of 12" x 2" is very common so I am pretty sure you would also have the five bolt brake mounting flange and in which case the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-7-SA or part # AKEBRK-7R-SA for right and part # AKEBRK-7L-SA for left would be correct.
