How to Keep Lithium Battery on Camper Charged from Truck Alternator

Hello I have a GMC truck that has a 150amp alternator installed and Im about to install a 100ah Lithium battery on my RV. The truck provides a charge circuit through the 7 pin plug to the trailer. I was told that with this set up using the trucks alternator will burn it out because the lithium battery will draw a large amount of current. Im not about to charge up a completely dead battery but maybe just to top it off while driving. Would the truck wires be too small for current to the battery? Will this harm my alternator? Thanks

If you have an alternative way to adequately charge your new lithium battery on your RV when it is not in transit, the amperage drop due to the lower gauge wires on your won't really matter and will still provide you with a sufficient trickle charge from your alternator; this also will not harm your alternator in doing this.

With that being said, if you don't have a sufficient charging source for this battery, you'll need to use something like the RedArc Manager30 Battery Manager # RED88FR to charge this lithium battery from your truck's alternator.
