Can you tell me more about the installation process for the Optronics LED RV Exterior Scene Light # UCL41CB. How is it installed to prevent a leak at the mounting holes or wire holes. it looks like theres a rubber grommet thats shown in the product video but its never explained what it is. The Optronics LED RV Exterior Scene Light - Submersible part # UCL41CB is a surface mount light that installs using the two mounting holes in the flanges on either side of the light. The distance between the mounting holes is 7.87" and the overall dimensions of the light are 8-3/4" long x 3" tall x 1-1/2" deep so you would want to make sure you have space to install the light and possibly not have to drill new holes depending on if you had existing lights in that spot.
The rubber grommet does install between the light and the trailer to create a seal there. The circuit board is sonically sealed inside the housing so if water does get into the wire holes it will not get to the circuit board and damage the light so you won't need to worry about that. If any water gets in it will drain right out without hurting anything. Adhesive is not recommended but you will need self tapping screws to install.
