The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. This light has a 2,400 raw lumen capacity and produces 1,200 effective lumens.

Surface mount with built-in flange. 2-Wire pigtail. 12 Diodes.Searched the web to replace the 2010 outdoor lighting units on my 37' Jayco Designer. All that I found, except this unit, were very inexpensive by comparison ..I.e., $4.00, $12.00, etc and bragged about how bright they were. This unit caught my attention however, because it was described as being TOTALLY SEALED plus very bright. That was the closer for me as my time and labor is valuable too and I had to replace cheap, water damaged factory installed lights. They are VERY BRIGHT, totally sealed and I am hoping they last a few years since I cannot replace the bulbs if they burnout prematurely. The housing is metal, not plastic and they appear to be very solid and well built.

Great light to replace the back light on my Northern Lite. Be ready to light up the night with this one. A great replacement light for when you are grilling outside.
The light works great and installation went smoothly. However my issue was with no included hardware and for someone who's never changed out a light like this, instructions would have been needed.
This is an awesome light..i am a dog trainer..i bought a second light..it lights up my dog yards at nite..turning nite into day

Great product! Well made, nice bright light for the "patio area" of our travel trailer. As yet, have not had the trailer under water, so I can't attest to the submersibility of the light.
