Question:

I have a Brinkley Z2900. Will this mount to my unit? Also I have a preinstalled Cummins generator, which adds to my pin weight. Will this still work or are you coming out with a heftier one?

Hey Dean! The B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # BW73RV will fit your Brinkley Z2900 if you have a Lippert 1621/1621HD bolt pattern. Also yes, there is a heftier model, which is the # BW83RV with a max tongue weight (TW) of 4,500 lbs. What is your pin weight with the generator? As long as you aren't over that 4.5k limit you're good.

If you have an 1116/1716 you will need the 1621 pin box along with the Shim Kit for B&W 5th Wheel-to-Gooseneck Pin Box # BW57MV. If you have a Rhino bolt pattern on the Z2900 you need # BW23RV (3.25k TW) or # BW55RV (4.5k TW) instead. If you aren't sure what bolt pattern is on your pin box, feel free to send me a picture of your pin box sticker and I will identify it for you.

Any big trips coming up with the Brinkley once you swap out your pin box?

I have a Brinkley with a Helux. Can you tell me which one I need for a replacement?

@JeffS we know the Helux is the Lippert Rhino bolt pattern so you need # BW23RV (3.25k TW) or # BW55RV (4.5k TW). I can help you pick the appropriate rating if you can tell me the year and model, or your GVWR.

I have a Z2900 too but I'm not sure which pin box is on mine. Is the sticker on the pin box all I need to figure out whether I need the 1621 or Rhino version?

@CodyM that is correct. If you can tell me the S/N on your pin box sticker I can identify it through Lippert so we can find the right replacement. It is probably a Rhino Box since it is on a Z2900 but double checking is free, and if you get the wrong one that is going to be a massive pain to return.

If my loaded pin weight is around 3,100 lbs would you still use the 3,250 lb version or would it be better to step up to the 4,500 lb model for some extra room?

@TravisM if that 3,100 lbs is your fully loaded pin weight, I'd stick with the 3,250 lb version. That's right where you want to be for the SumoSpring to provide the best cushioning. If you're sitting at 3,100 lbs now but still plan on adding gear that could push you over 3,250 lbs, I'd step up to the 4,500 lb version instead.
