The brake controller connector is located behind a panel just to the left of the glove compartment, as shown in the provided photo. The wiring harness adapter used will depend on the brake controller you end up using. I see that you've looked at a Hayes Syncronizer # HA81725 brake controller. If you use a Hayes controller, you'd need the # HA81788-HBC adapter. For a Tekonsha or Draw-Tite, use # 3034-P or for a Curt controller, use # C51432.
Rather than a time delayed controller like the Hayes Syncronizer, I'd honestly recommend going with a proportional controller like the reasonably priced Brake EVN # TK63VR.
A time delayed controller will always send the the same amount of voltage to the trailer brakes regardless of how quickly the tow vehicle is braking. To put that into perspective, this type of controller can't differentiate between a quick stab to the brake pedal or a full-out panic stop. A proportional controller can sense how quickly the vehicle is braking, and will send the proper amount of voltage to the trailer brakes to bring the vehicle and trailer to a stop much more quickly, safely and predictably.
