Question:
We just got out 2019 Subaru Outback and want a hitch now but can't decide between EcoHitch and Draw-Tite, is the EcoHitch that much better?

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7601 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76227 are both excellent options for a 2019 Subaru Outback. I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver because it sits back behind the bumper a bit more therefore will not be as noticeable. Furthermore, the quality of the EcoHitch is much better than that of the Draw-Tite. In my experience, EcoHitch takes pride in their work therefore the welds are much nicer, the finish is more durable, and the fitment is just better overall. Also, EcoHitch includes a trim piece that will cover the cuts you have to make in the rear bumper fascia which again goes back to the more factory like, less noticeable appearance.
That said, the EcoHitch is less economical so if you are not worried as much with quality and smaller details like finish and fit then the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver will work just fine. I have however attached for you an install photo and video of the EcoHitch on a Subaru Outback.
