Question:

Im looking for a trailer bearing that can fit a jeep pattern. They are 5x5.5, so in theory they should work unless yalls lugs are smaller in circumference than the jeeps. Would you guys have any insight on this?

The lug studs on the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-555-35-K are 1/2" studs, which should match the studs used on your Jeep wheels. From what it sounds like, you're trying to replace the hubs on a trailer to use the wheels from a Jeep?

While the studs may match up, the wheel offset is going to potentially cause a problem. You'll need to make sure you have enough space between the hub face and the frame to use the negative offset that vehicle wheels come with. You might be best served going with a different hub that fits a 3500-lb axle and a trailer specific wheel that will take into consideration the offset usually required with trailer wheels.

I recommend looking at the # AKIHUB-655-35-EZ-K which has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern and is designed for 3500-lb axles that use # L68149 (1.378" inner diameter)/ # L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) bearings. I would pair this hub with the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel - 15" x 6" Rim - 6 on 5-1/2 - Black # AM20560 , which still has the aggressive off-road look, but will use a more cost effective tire that fits on 15" wheels.

Assuming that you don't have enough space between the Jeep wheel and the frame of the trailer, this is going to be your best bet. If you can tell me a little bit more about your axle, I can provide you with confirmation that those hubs will work for your application or if there is a better solution.
