Lift Kit for 1994 Featherlite with Torsion Axle

Updated 02/19/2026 | Published 02/16/2026

Question:

I have a 94 featherlite 3 horse slant trailer. I need to put a lift kit on it and it has a torsion axle. I measured the holes center to center and theyre 10-1/2. What kit do i need to make the lifting kit brackets work? Thanks

Hi Christopher!

If you’re measuring 10-1/2" center-to-center on the mounting holes, the Dexter Torflex Lift Kit # K71-725-02 is very likely not going to bolt up to your brackets as-is. That kit is made specifically for Dexter #12 Torflex torsion axles, the bolt pattern on the lift kit is 9" center-to-center on the mounting holes.

The best next step is to confirm exactly which torsion axle you have, because lift kits are axle-specific. Featherlite has also used other torsion axle brands over the years (like AL-KO), so it’s not guaranteed that it’s a Dexter Torflex on your trailer. The only way to be sure is to check the axle tube for an ID tag or sticker. Dexter usually has a white label wrapped around the axle tube with a serial number and axle model.

If you can tell me what the axle tag says, or even snap a quick pic of the sticker, I can point you in the right direction.
