Compatibility of Demco DM8550046 Recon Hitch Adapter with CM Flatbed w/ Recessed Gooseneck Ball

Question:

Will this work with a cm flatbed where the ball is recessed and built into the bed in a cut out and would i need to remove the cover from the cut out

The # DM8550046 Demco Recon Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Hitch Adapter you'd looked at should indeed be compatible with the gooseneck hitch in your CM brand flatbed. To absolutely confirm this, there's 2 measurements you can take.

1) Make sure the cut-out is 4 inches deep. This is pretty much standard, but it's recommended that you check it.

2) Top of ball need to be less than 3/4 of an inch below the level of the bed. Place a straight edge across the well, and measure down to the top of the gooseneck ball.

You would indeed need to remove the cover completely in order to install the hitch adapter.
