Is there an option for a shorter bar? The custom cap i have is slightly narrower than the bed on my Tacoma and I don't want the bars sticking out beyond the cab.

If you have Thule tracks on your truck cap then you can use the Rhino-Rack HD Crossbars with the parts to fit Thule tracks like the 65" # Y01-140B-NT.
If you let me know how much space is between your Thule tracks and I can let you know which Rhino-Rack HD bar setup will work for your application.
