How To Identify Replacement Motor For Fifth Wheel Slide Out

I have a 2004 rockwood by forest river 5th wheel 8281ss. Which slide out motor do I need

I contacted Lippert and they are not able to tell which motor you need based off of the fifth wheel model however, I can tell you where to look for the serial number of the slide out. If the slide out is a through frame the arms may have a tag with assembly part number. The through-frame systems has a frame that slides out.

If the slide out is considered an "in wall" slide out the motor is in the side wall. The in-wall slide out is just what it sounds like, the slide out is inside the wall of the fifth wheel and does not utilize a frame piece for support. There should be a tag on the side wall for serial number identification.

If you can provide me with the serial number, I can help you find a replacement motor.
