What Does the Vertical Adjustment Mean on the Rock Tamers Mud Flaps # ERT00108

Question:

The description says that they can also be adjusted vertically. Are they talking about just trimming the flap?

The vertical adjustment on the Rock Tamers Mud Flaps, part # ERT00108, means that the bolts that connect the pivoting arms to the center hub can be loosened to raise or lower the height of the mud flaps. It will adjust the up and down (vertical) position of the mud flaps for proper ground clearance.

The horizontal adjustment is when the bolts at the top of the pivoting arms can be loosened and the support rods can be adjusted for different widths of vehicles. This will adjust the side to side (horizontal) position of the mud flaps.

The mud flaps also have pre-cut lines at 1-1/2 inch intervals so the flaps can be trimmed to the appropriate length.
