When to Adjust Air Spring Pressure of Reese Goosebox RP85FR
Question:
Do I add air to 40lbs before or after 5th wheel is attached to truck. In other words, added under load and not under load? Isnt 40lbs psi 40lbs psi? Please advise.

You will want to inflate your Reese Goosebox # RP85FR air spring AFTER you have hitched the loaded trailer and retracted its landing gear. The process is outlined on the linked page taken from the complete instructions; the complete instructions are also linked for you.
The pressure setting is actually subjective and is based on feel. You'll start by filling the bag to the point where the Air Inflation Indicator looks like figure 14 in the linked diagram. Since the bag has an automatic pressure relief valve there is no risk of over-inflating the spring. Add or release pressure as desired.
